Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Operating Theatre Nurse to partner in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This deployed, rotational contract features a 3-month on, 1-month off cycle. All service delivery occurs within a secure facility.

Deliver perioperative care as a circulator and scrub nurse in a Level 2 Field Hospital offering EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic, Laboratory, and ancillary services. Comply with US clinical standards for all procedures. Support surgical operations for diverse patient needs in a mission-critical environment.

The team bases in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility. US Government provides all support services including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and ancillary needs. Work alongside a small, dynamic team in a controlled, high-security setting.

Requirements

  • US citizen or Green Card holder; sponsorship not available
  • Graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from accredited professional nursing program
  • Current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in one of the U.S. states, territories, commonwealths, or District of Columbia
  • Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum three years' experience as registered nurse with one full year in Operating Room as circulator and scrub nurse

Responsibilities

  • Serve as circulator and scrub nurse in the operating room for all services
  • Provide perioperative nursing care in Level 2 Field Hospital surgical operations
  • Assist in EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, and ancillary clinical services
  • Maintain sterile field and prepare operating theatre for procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and ensure compliance with US clinical standards
  • Document surgical procedures and patient care activities
  • Collaborate with surgical team in secure field hospital environment
