About this role

Under the overall supervision of the Director of Nursing Services and reporting to the Nurse In-Charge, you work as a member of the nursing team. Provide acceptable standards of nursing care and comfort to assigned patients per hospital policies. Also deliver theatre, O.P.D., and clinical outreach patient care.

The ideal candidate displays compassion, education, proficiency, and experience while assisting patients. Assist in creating and managing nursing care plans. Participate in evaluating current and future medical needs of the patient.

Provide comprehensive safe and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve health outcomes. Plan and evaluate nursing care in consultation with the multidisciplinary team and patients. Use effective interpersonal communication throughout daily duties.

Conduct administrative duties including attending medical conferences and courses. Assess patient care plans to identify improvements ensuring quality care. Work cohesively as an active member of the multidisciplinary team with high-level communication skills.

Promote quality and patient safety standards meeting the hospital's high-quality services. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis and close upon sufficient applicants. Submit as soon as possible for consideration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minimum of three years nursing experience in busy hospital
  • Or Diploma in Nursing with over 8 years nursing experience
  • Current license to practice nursing required
  • Experience in pediatric or/and orthopedic nursing will have added advantage
  • Computer literate - those with experience working with Electronic Medical System will have an added advantage
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive safe and effective evidence-based nursing and care to achieve identified health outcomes
  • Plan and evaluate nursing care in consultation with the multidisciplinary health care team and patients using effective interpersonal communication
  • Conduct administrative duties including attending medical conferences and courses for ongoing care and education
  • Assess patient care plans and identify areas of improvement to ensure quality of care
  • Provide high level communication skills including interpersonal, verbal, written, computer and work cohesively as an active member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Promote quality and patient safety standards that meet the hospital's high quality and efficient services
  • Deliver theatre, O.P.D., and clinical outreach patient care
