DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse looking to give life in a hospital setting. Make an exceptional difference in the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. Deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way - the way you'd want your own care to be.
This position will float to Hospital Services programs throughout New York and Connecticut with start times from 6am-7:30am. Schedule includes 3-4 days per week, every other Saturday, with regularly scheduled and on-call shifts. Daily schedule may change based on patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
Be part of a small interdisciplinary team of clinicians in a positive environment where staff RNs support and rely on each other. Deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans and broad nursing skills. Work daily in dynamic hospital settings like ICU, CCU, ED, and more.
Specialize in multiple renal therapies including Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Apheresis. Receive paid training and commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives. DaVita's Inpatient Dialysis Program is Joint Commission Accredited.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
- Successful completion of the pre-employment color blind test, accommodation may be provided
- Ability to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required
Responsibilities
- Float to Hospital Services programs throughout New York and Connecticut
- Deliver nephrology care through Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Apheresis
- Oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs to conduct patient observations, measuring stats and machine set up
- Deliver care to patients dealing with multiple co-morbidities which require unique treatment plans
- Work with head, heart and hands each day in a fast paced hospital environment
- Provide lifesaving care during regularly scheduled and on-call shifts in settings like ICU, CCU, ED
- Become an integral part of both the hospital and DaVita team
