Requirements

  • Proven track record of working within an operating theatre as an ODP
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Experience with scrub and circulating roles in varied surgical cases
  • Familiarity with elective and trauma procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide general scrub and circulating skills across a varied range of patient cases
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures
  • Support patients during elective and trauma surgical procedures
  • Maintain sterile field and instrument preparation in the operating theatre
  • Assist with patient positioning and transfer to and from the operating table
  • Monitor equipment functionality and ensure availability during procedures
  • Participate in theatre turnaround and preparation for subsequent cases
