About this role
As a Cardiac Radiographer within the Catheterisation Laboratory, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will operate advanced fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging equipment to support procedures such as coronary angiograms, angioplasties, pacemaker insertions, structural heart interventions, and vascular studies.
You will ensure the delivery of precise, real-time imaging to assist cardiologists and vascular surgeons in decision-making and patient care. Adherence to radiation safety protocols, clinical governance, and quality assurance standards is essential. Your role also includes patient preparation and support, image acquisition and archiving, and equipment troubleshooting.
This position requires strong technical proficiency, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. As part of a collaborative Cardiac Centre of Excellence. Prior experience in a Cath Lab, vascular or interventional radiology is highly valued.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Applied Science - Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
- 2+ years experience as a Radiographer
- Knowledge of and proficiency in interventional radiography particularly cardiac, vascular and pain desirable
- Possess a licence to use irradiating apparatus
- Experience using Siemens and/or Phillips equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours on an ‘on-call’ roster
Responsibilities
