Collect and analyze data to identify expected outcomes, then develop and implement individualized plans while coordinating care delivery. Direct care and determine appropriate utilization of assistants providing direct patient care. Evaluate progress toward outcomes and document patient responses to interventions.

Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and health team members while maintaining ANA standards. Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to create documented outcome-focused plans. Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Strong analytic abilities
  • Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement an individualized plan, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes
  • Direct care and determine the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care

  • Evaluate and document the patient’s responses to nursing interventions in the health record and individualize the plan of care
