About this role

Mater Hospital Brisbane Emergency Department seeks experienced, motivated Registered Nurses for permanent full-time and part-time roles, minimum 0.6 FTE or 48 hours per fortnight. Multiple opportunities available in a 24-hour comprehensive emergency service for adult patients. Staffed by experienced emergency doctors, nurses, training registrars and house officers.

The department provides care to adolescents and adults with acute illness and injuries including Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Orthopaedics and Gynaecological emergencies. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who take pride in exceptional patient outcomes. Demonstrate clinical expertise in procedures and patient management throughout the care continuum. Implement strategies integrating quality and risk management into service provision.

Requirements

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 12 months postgraduate experience in an emergency setting
  • Previous experience in emergency nursing highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills
