The Registered Dietitian develops and implements clinical, operational, and marketing strategies to promote the home nutrition support program. Provides daily clinical support of all parenteral nutrition patients within assigned territory. Supports sales activity and maintains cohesive relationships with office clinical and sales staff.

Performs comprehensive nutrition assessments, develops care plans, and provides education to patients, caregivers, and staff. Collaborates regularly with pharmacy and nursing teams on patient care plans during team meetings. Covers multiple locations as assigned to ensure optimal territory coverage.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
  • Currently residing in FL, GA, MD, NC, SC, VA, or WV
  • Knowledge of enteral and parenteral nutrition products
  • Ability to conduct nutrition assessments per evidence-based standards
  • Familiarity with insurance guidelines for nutrition support payment
  • Experience reviewing orders for home infusion appropriateness
  • Skills in developing and implementing nutrition care plans

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day clinical support of parenteral nutrition (PN) patients
  • Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop nutrition care plans
  • Complete clinical review on new enteral patients to ensure appropriate home orders
  • Review new parenteral patients to confirm safe and clinically appropriate orders
  • Evaluate patients for appropriateness of initiating parenteral nutrition in the home setting
  • Conduct patient education on parenteral and enteral nutrition in-person or by phone
  • Participate in or lead discussions on PN patients during team meetings
  • Work closely with account managers and sales directors to support nutrition-related sales activity
