About this role
At North Richmond Community Health, the Allied Health Assistant works collaboratively across the program to support clinicians in delivering high quality care to community members across the age spectrum. This role involves working with both children and adults in individual and group settings. It supports service access and program delivery to diverse communities.
The Allied Health Program provides professional services across funding streams including Aging Well Service, Community Health, NDIS and Support at Home. The multidisciplinary team works across the lifespan to improve health, independence and wellbeing. Team members nurture a passionate and diverse workforce with shared values.
Daily tasks include assisting with planning and delivery of therapy sessions, supporting clients under clinician supervision, and facilitating home visits with equipment setup and education. Conduct follow-up communication, support administration, intake processes, and maintain client records. Assist in coordinating group programs using person-centred care.

Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
- Experience supporting allied health services across individual and group settings
- Strong understanding of community health and person-centred care
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities
- Strong communication skills, including documentation and data entry
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Responsibilities
- Assist clinicians in the planning and delivery of individual and group therapy sessions

- Facilitate pre-planned therapy activities and contribute to resource development
