Pathology Technician

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. Pathology Technicians provide technical assistance in the laboratories, assisting technologists, technicians, pathologists’ assistants and pathologists. They handle related equipment including maintenance, clean work areas, and stock supplies.

In the Histology/Gross Laboratory, assist in obtaining biological samples for study and prepare tissues for processing and examination under the direction of pathologists. Perform complex histological procedures using techniques to gross, embed, perform microtomy, and stain to make tissue slides used for diagnosis. Within the Clinical Laboratory, collect, prepare and process specimens while ensuring accuracy and quality of laboratory data.

PM Shift with varying start times from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Full-time positions work every third weekend, holidays three per year, and five to six on-call weekends per year. Part-time works every other weekend with similar holiday and on-call requirements.
