About this role
Children’s Hospital of Michigan is an international leader in pediatric and adolescent medicine. The role provides analytic support for current and conceptual clinical business programs, including development, implementation, analysis, decision-making, and evaluation. It correlates financial impact on patient services strategic planning initiatives and new programs.
Develop business Pro formas for clinical programs and collaborate with managed care and finance to ascertain reimbursement for new service lines. Provide facilitation and direction for new technology acquisition and planning. Create and oversee business and financial implementation of short and long-term clinical program development for Ambulatory Services.
Offer analytic and strategic support to the Ambulatory Services administrative team on systems for patient care processes. Provide consultative strategic analysis in budget planning and forecasting, including annual operating and capital budgets. Analyze actual vs. budget variances and design financial monitoring tools.
Serve as an expert with clinical information systems such as NACHRI, PACT, and EMR, correlating clinical and financial data. Assist the Ambulatory Services team in identifying and resolving operational problems related to clinical and non-clinical activities. Provide related financial reports to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Analytic expertise in clinical business programs and financial modeling
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and managed care processes
- Experience developing business Pro formas for new service lines
- Proficiency in clinical information systems (NACHRI, PACT, EMR)
- Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for healthcare operations
- Strategic planning for ambulatory services and patient care delivery models
- Ability to correlate clinical and financial data for productivity analysis
- Familiarity with hospital technology acquisition and implementation
